Ulf Edborg - Mr. Ski
Ulf came to this region for the first time in 1974. He knew immediately that he liked the environment and has since returned every year.
During the 1950's Ulf got in contact with the superintendent on Gammelgården, Ilse Dabelstein. He then became employed as an assistance to Sigge, the old janitor. Ulf worked as a factotum for food and accommodation.
The years in Björkliden and Riksgränsen developed Ulfs skiing and he continued his skiing in Austria and Switzerland. Ulf worked as a trainer for the Swedish women's team in 1963 until after the Olympic games 1964.
"I am the ski instructor that has worked the longest, for 43 seasons. I have been a professional skiier for 53 years - an entire working life!"
Ulf is a person that is passionate about what he does and what his name represents. Since his career began in Björkliden, he feels good about beeing an ambassador for Björkliden.
Tua & Viggo Bergquist
Tua and Viggo Bergquist are both born and raised in Björkliden. They live with their mother Ann and father Lasse just 200 meters from the ski system. They both attend the school in Abisko which, with it's total of 12 students, probably has Sweden's lowest number of students.
For the Bergquist family, life in general revolves around outdoor life and in winter particulary around skiing. During the winter season Tua and Viggo spends most of their spare time skiing in Björkliden.

Favourite ski resort: my favourite is Björkliden, but I also like to ski in Riksgränsen and Engelberg
Role model: Anna Haag and Charlotte Kalla and all good loooking freeride guys
Interests: skiing, horseback riding, jujustu and workout
When I grow up I want to be: a better skiier and to work outdoor with horses
Trivia: I was named after the Italien ski brand Tua and since I live in Björklden my biggest interest is skiing, both cross-country and alpine skiing. I also like travelling and discovering new places.

When I grow up I want to be: a professional skier
Trivia: have been skiing since he was 3 years old. Likes to jump off the cliffs into Abiskojokken in summer and going on a roadtrip with the family's old Toyota Hiace bus through Sweden and Norway. After the family's long trip through Asia, it would be fun to do more trips around the world.
